Hobbies: Dancing (Ballet and Salsa), Jewelry-Making, Going to the Beach, Gardening, and Hiking

Favorite Childhood Memory: Any outdoor trips to the park or days spent at the beach.

My Vision of the Child: I see children as constantly finding opportunities to learn and grow. I think it is important to provide children with spaces that are exciting and safe, so they are able to explore their own interests and have fun while learning.

Bio: I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and moved to San Diego two years ago. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree at the University of California Santa Cruz with majors in Community and Environmental Studies. This was a great opportunity to learn about building community, as well as environmental education for kids. I became passionate about working with children when I volunteered as a 4th grade tutor when I was in high school. Throughout the years, I have also been a nanny for infants and toddlers, an after-school program volunteer, and a cognitive therapy instructor/tutor for children with learning challenges. After taking classes for Child Development at Miramar College, I became more passionate about working in early childhood education. I am excited to be part of the learning and growth happening at Little Sprouts.
