Michaela grew up in a small town in Northern California with her parents and younger sister. She spent many summers in Lake Tahoe where she enjoyed camping, backpacking, and swimming. She moved to San Diego in 2009 to attend Point Loma Nazarene University. While attending, she studied abroad in France and explored several of the surrounding countries. In May 2014 Michaela graduated with her Bachelors of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development. Her desire to work with young children started when she became a respite care-giver for a young boy with Down Syndrome. Ever since her time with him, she has become even more passionate and excited about the chance to encourage children to explore and develop in their own unique way.
Michaela spends her free time outdoors enjoying the beautiful San Diego weather, in the kitchen baking, or on the beach reading.
